Clinical Trials Assistants

  • Full-time fixed term for 12 months, base salary $71K p.a. plus superannuation

About the opportunity 

The Clinical Trial Assistants works as part of the clinical trials research team in a support role, providing administration and data entry support to clinical trial project(s), managers and staff of one or more clinical trials or studies concurrently. May also undertake associated clerical duties for collaborative groups or CTC services.

Clinical Trial operations staff are responsible for co-ordinating large multicentre investigator –initiated clinical trials, co-ordinating stand-alone clinical trials or participates in trials that are co-ordinated by other national and international collaborative trial groups. The role provides the opportunity to commence a career in clinical trial operations. Clinical Trials Assistants can progress (through merit selection) into clinical trials positions based upon experience and expertise in the delivery of work performed.

  • demonstrated experience in basic clinical trials administration or experience in a similar field
  • basic understanding of GCP guidelines and protocol requirements for clinical trials
  • good communication skills and the ability to work as part of diverse teams
  • well-developed data entry skills.

The successful candidates will have knowledge of medical terminology and clinical trials administrative processes.
