About the opportunity 

The Manager, Analytics Research and Development will be proactive in identifying areas for research reporting and developing associated outputs into reports for the University. By partnering with faculties, multi-disciplinary institutes and professional support units a key focus for the role will be to establish data and reporting requirements that address university research initiatives. 

The Manager will be responsible for building on and delivering a set of reports that consolidates bibliometric and research performance data based for faculty heads of school and multi-disciplinary institutes.  This will require close liaison with Faculty Associate Dean’s Research, administrative staff university wide, and key strategic research analytics teams.

In this position, you will:

• be responsible for evaluating and planning for research indicator data that supports Peer Review research focused disciplines
• deliver an enhanced suite of reported that incorporate appropriate indicators developed in close consultation with the academic community
• provide high level advice to the Director, RRADS and the DVCR on strategies to maximise the research areas and profile the research effort of the university
• provide high level advice and support to Deans and Associate Deans Research on research information significance of activities within their areas of responsibility.

• relevant post-graduate qualification and experience within the Australian higher education sector
• demonstrated high level leadership and management skills, including both human resource and financial management
• demonstrated high-level analytical, strategic planning, project management and problem-solving skills
• demonstrated outstanding capabilities in strategic analysis, data analysis, information interpretation, presentation and reporting
• demonstrated outstanding capabilities in applying, developing and training staff in data analysis, data manipulation tools using a range of methodological approaches.
