About the opportunity 

The University of Sydney has recently launched a new strategy focusing on educational excellence and graduate outcomes across all programs of study. As part of this commitment, the Sydney Law School is looking for opportunities to enrich and diversify its curriculum through the introduction of a wide range of units of study that promote experiential learning and student mobility. 

The Experiential Learning Officer is responsible for providing specialised academic and student support for mobility and experiential learning programs offered by the Sydney Law School including: offshore units,  Law School exchange programs and project and community engagement units. The role holder is required to coordinate and promote of these units, liaise with external partner organisations, conduct risk assessments for offshore units, provide welfare and administration support for students, and compile reports on the performance of the units for planning purposes. Some overseas travel is required in order to support offshore units in situ.

  • experience of  providing professional, student-focused administrative support, ideally for experiential learning and/or student mobility programs
  • proven ability to develop, maintain and review administrative systems and processes to ensure high quality professional service
  • a commitment to and knowledge of customer care principles with the capacity to provide excellent customer service and to use good judgement when responding to enquiries and complaints
  • the ability to travel overseas to support offshore units.
