About the opportunity 

The successful candidate will provide technical knowledge and expertise to the Susan and Isaac Wakil Professor of Healthy Ageing and associated research team to support the research and/or clinical trial requirements for the work area. This includes actively contributing to research activities, designing research protocols, undertaking core aspects of research work including ethics application preparation, recruiting research participants and data collection and entry, and contributing to analysis and writing up key findings. Collating and recording research data, draws insights, and reports information from the research undertaken. Providing administrative and technical assistance with the development of the educational material and report preparation, preparation for a grant application, organising meetings (forum, steering committee and expert reference group) and taking minutes.

  • Tertiary qualifications likely with Honours in appropriate discipline with relevant experience in related field. May have (or be working towards) completing further studies such as PhD or have extensive specialist experience in the field of research.
  • Extensive experience in developing and working on research projects
  • Experience in a research-intensive environment 
  • Experience in carrying out scientific literary searches, and preparing literary reviews for further analysis
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to use initiative.
