About the opportunity 

Due to the overwhelming success and growth of the division, we have an exciting role available for a Prospect Research/Pipeline Associate to proactively increase the number of prospects in the major gift pipeline, and to work closely with major gift fundraisers in developing strong portfolios of potential major donors to meet ongoing fundraising goals.

Under the guidance of the Manager, Prospect Research and working closely with our major gift team you will:

  • implement relationship/pipeline management procedures and ensure that relevant information is captured in the database
  • participate in regular portfolio reviews with major gift fundraisers to support the management of their portfolio/pipeline
  • translate data insights into actions and recommendations that will drive fundraising goals in the division
  • develop and execute creative strategies to identify potential major gift donors using prescribed research techniques and online searching methodologies
  • manage, measure and report on data-driven projects to support decision making in the division.

About you

We are looking for a Prospect Research/Pipeline Associate who possesses demonstrated expertise in:

  • analysing and organising information to identify philanthropic patterns, tendencies and relationships
  • qualitative research using a variety of resources
  • prospect research, business and financial research, social sciences, development, library research or related field
  • working with a relational database
  • strong project management and reporting skills.

Familiarity with international business practices and culture, in particular China, and an ability to speak and write in either simplified or traditional Chinese would be highly regarded.
