About the opportunity 

Marketing and Communications is a professional service unit responsible for communicating the University’s values and messages in ways that target audiences – including prospective students, current students, staff, alumni, donors and external influencers – notice and understand, and which prompt them to action.

About the role

The Senior Web and Digital Developer plays a leadership role in developing and deploying feature-rich websites and digital solutions that meet business requirements and end-user needs.

Position duties include:

  • developing, implementing and deploying complex and feature-rich websites and new digital solutions
  • developing user interfaces and user interface components
  • supporting and maintaining existing websites and digital applications
  • writing technical documentation for websites and digital applications developed.

About you

  • experience as a web developer designing, developing, testing, documenting and deploying websites and digital applications
  • experience developing object-oriented Javascript, particularly using intermediate languages
  • experience, developing and interfacing with server-side data APIs to produce dynamic and rich end-user web applications
  • Understanding of cloud hosting environments such as AWS
  • ability to work in a complex and challenging environment.
