At the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre (CTC) we believe ‘Our Strength is Our People’. As a leader in clinical trials research in Australia, we specialise in coordinating our own and assisting others in conducting various multi-centre clinical trials and promoting evidence-based medicine in Australia.

Several opportunities now exist for suitably qualified and experienced staff to join our team and contribute to clinical trials research in an academic environment. We work with a multitude of expert stakeholders including clinicians, biostatisticians, academic researchers and other clinical trials and research staff. We work together in the newly opened Chris O’Brien LifeHouse building contributing to the focus on cancer research excellence.

We are looking for people with experience in clinical trials in an academic or commercial environment who take pride in their work and are committed to improving outcomes for patients living with cancer.

The successful Associate Oncology Program Manager will manage a portfolio of studies and work within a team of other program managers and/or work on development activities related to clinical trials. Primary responsibilities are oversight of the portfolio including (but not limited to) protocol development, funding applications, study material development and may require oversight of junior trials staff. There will be opportunities to contribute to the strategic development of the program.

The positions are fixed term for 12 months, subject to the completion of a satisfactory probation period for new employees. There is possibility for further offers of employment subject to funding, performance and need.
