The DVC Research Portfolio currently includes six Research Services groups, which support the DVCR and researchers to achieve the University’s research goals, as well as a number of cross-disciplinary Institutes and Centres. The Core Facilities Program has been established to identify, organise, manage and govern high-cost, state-of-the-art specialist infrastructure and facilities aligned to the University’s research strategy and that provide a platform for research collaborations.

We are currently seeking an Operation Manager, Core Research Facilities to provide high level administrative support and professional advice to the Director, Core Research Facilities, Core Facility Directors and Managers. 

Reporting to the Director, Core Research Facilities, You will:

  • provide high level administrative support and professional advice to the Director, Core Research Facilities on the development and implementation of the Core Facilities Program
  • coordinate the operations of the Core Facilities Program to maximise strategic advantage from central management of high-end specialist research infrastructure that support University research priorities
  • oversee and coordinate core facilities business planning, budgeting and reporting, across individual core facilities and the program as a whole.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • demonstrated superior skills, capabilities and experience, developing and managing business and administrative systems in a complex organisation environment, preferably gained in a higher education setting
  • excellent analytical skills and the demonstrated ability to adapt and develop innovative solutions and initiatives to manage complex issues, and draft papers and reports to advise and/or inform senior management decision making
  • a relevant University bachelor’s degree and/or relevant professional experience.

Remuneration package: $109K p.a. (which includes a base salary of $92K p.a., leave loading and up to 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation).
