The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Research Officer, Soilborne Disease Management to be part of our South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI) Division within PIRSA. The role reports to the Program Leader, Soil Biology and Molecular Diagnostics.
The Senior Research Officer, Soilborne Disease Management will work closely with the Program Leader, Soil Biology and Molecular Diagnostics to develop and deliver research on the management of soilborne diseases relevant to the grains industry in South Australia. The Senior Research Officer is expected to communicate research results effectively to SARDI and PIRSA staff, commercial agronomists, agri-business, growers and farming systems groups.

Special Conditions
This is a contract / term vacancy up to 30/06/2020. Possession of a current driver’s licence and a willingness to drive is required. Out of hours work will be required. This role involves exposure to dust and pollen, which may cause an allergic reaction in some people. A pre-employment medical may be required.
Requirements
An Agricultural or Biological Science degree is required. A post graduate degree in an area relevant to soil biology is desirable.
