Biomedical Engineering Services is based at Warrnambool Base Hospital and provides clinical engineering support to over 35 healthcare agencies across the South West of Victoria. Currently there is an opportunity for a Biomedical Engineer, Class 1 to Class 3 to join the department. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Primary responsibilities of the role involves minimising operational downtime of medical devices through preventative maintenance, breakdown servicing and routine testing, along with being able to offer skilled and professional expertise concerning the purchasing, installation and use of medical devices.

A Degree in Science or Engineering with specialisation in Biomedical Engineering or Biomedical Instrumentation, Electronics, Mechatronics or other related fields equivalent to Australian qualifications is mandatory.

Highly Desirable:

• Strong PC and MS Office literacy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A current Australian Driver’s license
