The Victorian Government has launched a new Collaborative Networks Pilot Program with up to $1.5 million in funding to support innovative projects in Victorian businesses.

Minister for Innovation, Services and Small Business Louise Asher said the program aims to build a collaborative culture and strategic partnerships between businesses and the research sector, to improve the commercialisation of innovation and new technologies, as well as boost productivity.

Proposals have been called from service providers interested in working with industry and the government to build  innovation and technology strengths and to accelerate the use of new technologies by Victorian businesses, particularly small and medium enterprises.

Service providers and industry-led consortiums can submit funding proposals through the Business Victoria website by Friday 27 January 2012.
